USEFUL TIPS & ADVICES
REMEMBER THAT ONE LOVE GATHERING IS TAKING PLACE UP IN THE MOUNTAINS AND DURING THIS TIME OF THE YEAR, TEMPERATURES MAY RANGE BETWEEN 10º – 30º CELSIUS AND POSSIBLE RAINY DAYS….SO BE PREPARED FOR ALL TYPES OF WEATHER.
WHAT TO BRING
– Tent, sleeping pad and good sleeping bag
– Warm clothes & jacket (temperatures can get really low during the night)
– Lightweight shoes
– Boots! waterproof
not only for rain, there is humidity in the evening and early morning.
– Extra pairs of (warm) socks
– Fancy clothes and costumes
It’s more fun if you chose adequate clothes or if you dress to fit the story. Be part of the story!
– Lantern and batteries
Better get a head-lamp to have your hands free. Always remember not to point it at someone’s eyes. Also chose a LED version, batteries last really long and the light is more efficient.
– Blanket to sit on
– First aid kit
Don’t forget to put inside: adhesive bandages in various sizes, sterile gauze pads (dressings), roller and triangular bandages, tweezers, surgical gloves, antiseptic wipes, prescription medicine, pain relievers, fever reducers, allergy, nausea and diarrhea drugs.
– Hat and sunglasses
It is highly recommended to wear these during the day. The Sun keeps our planet alive and we know many beneficial effects like strengthening the immune system, stimulating “happiness hormones” and synthesis of vitamin D, reducing allergic symptoms. Also, staying long time in the sun with no protection at all may cause you headache, exhaustion, muscle cramps, instability and a pass out feeling, sick or vomiting. Staying even more in the Sun will make your body temperature to increases and heatstroke occurs, causing symptoms such as: rapid breathing, confusion, disorientation and convulsions.
– Garbage bags
The forest and all the surroundings are our home for a while, so please be kind and keep it clean. We will provide garbage bags if needed for a small fee. Please respect the nature and leave no trace when you leave.
– Portable ashtray
Also a small film/pills container works fine. DO NOT throw (!burning) cigarettes on the ground.
– Travel cooking stove (Propane only! NO open fires!)
– Paper or washable plates and cups
– Tent lock
– Small quick dry towel
– Toilet paper rolls
– Camera (batteries/memory card)
We are grateful for the wonderful photos that you take. We would love to include a large number of them on our website so we appreciate when you send albums. Always remember to send your (nick)name to help us when adding photos to the gallery.
